Our office is uniquely situated to provide information and planning support to community groups and organizations interested in outreach and engagement. We partner with interested groups, working directly toward a shared vision.
Voter Registration Support
Interested in registering voters? We can help! Contact us for a toolkit and paper registration forms to get started. We work with county service agencies like WIC, EHSD, and Behavioral Health to ensure all eligible persons are offered an opportunity to register to vote as required by the National Voter Registration Act.
Additionally, our office participates in National Voter Registration Day, an annual event on the fourth Tuesday in September to create awareness of voter registration opportunities and to reach those who may not otherwise register. Since 2015 our office has coordinated the efforts of local high schools and provided registration kits including forms, toolkits, stickers, and decorations. To date, over 1,800 high school students in Contra Costa County have registered or pre-registered to vote on National Voter Registration Day!
Join us in celebrating National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday September 25, 2018.
Ambrose Beautification Project
We’re teaming up with the Ambrose Recreation and Park District in 2018 on a project to provide long-term benefits to residents of Bay Point and promote civic engagement and community pride.
The project will address accessibility challenges at the Ambrose Community Center by creating new accessible parking stalls and ramps and repairing sidewalks on the western side of the building. This work will not only provide improved access for voters on Election Day, but will also benefit all visitors to the community center 365 days a year.
The site improvements are coordinated with a spring volunteer event to beautify the Ambrose Community Garden.
