Our goal is robust participation in all elections and we strive to make participation as easy as possible. We want voters to know about the tools that are available to them and understand where, when, and how they cast a ballot.
New Chinese Language Requirements
Starting in 2018, all ballots in Contra Costa County are trilingual in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Additionally, voting materials will be available in those languages, specifically the county Voter Information Guide, your ballot and ballot instructions, and voter information on our website.
Coordinated Voter Registration Drives
Our office frequently attends community events, farmers markets, and other gatherings throughout the county to answer questions, register voters, and share information.
This June, we’re upping the ante.
Come out and visit us on May 19th as we head to farmers markets across Contra Costa County. Use the opportunity to register or re-register in time for the June 5th primary election or drop off your completed vote-by-mail ballot.
Want to find out more about how the County Elections office works? Come take a tour of our facilities and see our processes and staff in action. We’ll explain everything from how we update voter registration records to how ballots are counted during an election.
