The Inspector
The Inspector provides guidance to their assigned precinct board.
They are responsible for picking up supplies (i.e. ballots, roster of voters, precinct indexes, etc.) from the Elections Department before the election.
They must attend all required classes prior to each election.
Inspectors are to contact their Clerks to:
- confirm their assignment;
- verify the location and directions to the polling place;
- advise them of the expected time to be at the polling place.
Inspectors are responsible for administering breaks, lunch & dinner hours and the completion of all closing paperwork.
They must make sure that the polling place is open on election day at 7:00 a.m..
Accompanied by one other person, the Inspector must deliver the ballots to the designated depot or the Election Department on Election night.
