Last Day to Register to Vote for the June 5, 2012 Presidential Primary Election |

| The deadline for eligible persons to register to vote for the June 5, 2012 Presidential Primary Election is Monday, May 21, 2012. Any new voter, or anyone who has moved, changed their name or who wants to change their political party must register. Registration forms may be obtained at many government offices including City Offices, various County Offices and DMV’s. An on-line form is available at Electronic VBM Application web page. After completing the form, it must either be delivered to the County Elections Office at 555 Escobar St, Martinez no later than 7:00 p.m. on May 21, 2012 or if mailed it must have a postmark of May 21, 2012. To be entitled to vote a person must be a U.S. citizen who will be at least 18 years old by June 5, 2012 and not imprisoned or on parole for the conviction of a felony. Anyone who becomes a newly naturalized citizen after the May 21, 2012 deadline to register may register and vote between May 22 and June 5, 2012 only, at the County Elections Office at 555 Escobar Street in Martinez. Each person must bring their Certificate of Naturalization and declare that they have established residence in Contra Costa County.
